Prism for renters
Know what you signed
before it costs you.
Lease language is built to be skimmed past. Prism reads yours line by line, flags anything unusual, and makes sure the notice deadline never sneaks up on you.
- Your lease
- Renters insurance
- A sublease
To leave next year, give notice by December 31.
If you do nothing, this lease auto-renews for another 12 months — at up to 5% more rent.
“…written notice of non-renewal at least 90 days before the then-current expiration date. Time is of the essence.”
From your lease · page 1 · section 2.1
Then we email you 90, 30 and 7 days before — so "time is of the essence" is our problem, not yours.
Examples of what we catch for you
A few of the things we look for — not the full list.
Auto-renewal with a long notice window
Some leases need 90 days' notice to leave. Miss it and you're in for another year.
Deposit forfeited on late notice
A few leases keep your whole deposit if your move-out notice is even slightly late.
Late fees that stack daily
$25 for every day rent is late adds up much faster than a one-off fee.
Entry without notice
Your landlord walking in "at any time, with or without notice" is not the norm — we tell you when it's in there.
Christine reads it with you.
She’s not a general chatbot — Christine only ever answers from what’s actually in your saved documents, and every answer traces back to the line it came from. Ask her anything: “which of my leases renew this year?” “do I owe the tenant anything under this clause?” She’s not a lawyer, and she says so if you ask for legal advice.
Which of my leases renew this year?
Two: the Main St unit (auto-renews April 3 unless you give notice) and the 4-plex (renews June 30).
